THE ART AND PHILOSOPHY OF ORIENTAL MARTIAL ARTS _ "ETERNAL SPRING"
22 4 2019
«For me, Wing Tsun is an axiom", - Wing Tsun Gongfu master Spartak Petrosyan

Wushu [u'ʃu] - is an independent term, literally, is "a martial art".

Kung Fu (Gongfu) - "a hard work", "an impeccable completed difficult work". This term is an adjective to underline any perfectly done kinds of work (ex. a gardening, sport, art, etc., not only to oriental martial arts).

Wing Tsun Kung Fu – an applied oriental martial art.

"Fast is slow but uninterrupted" - Oriental Wisdom

Wing Tsun practices develop your speed, reaction, stamina, and you learn to make decisions fast.

"Empty your mind, be formless, shapeless – like water.
Now you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup,
you put water into a bottle, it becomes the bottle,
you put it in a teapot, it becomes the teapot.
Now water can flow or it can crash.
Be water, my friend." - Bruce Lee

In Wing Tsun, every move every ligament is flowing from one to another – an attack, a block, a counterattack, stances changes, movements. There are no unnecessary moves, tension, resistance in Wing Tsun – all this save your energy, advance the quality of your technics.

Think like a winner. The main in Wing Tsun technic is an attack, an ability to advance your enemy movements, a counterattack, an ability to intercept the initiative. You can't win if you choose only defense tactics.

The main difference and benefit in Wing Tsun is the simultaneous work of both hands (or a hand and a leg) – a control and an attack in one time.

"Relax and calm your mind. Forget about yourself and
follow your opponent's movement." - Yip Man

Wing Tsun includes two technics from which you learn to feel your opponents movements, to anticipate their attacks and defense, not to lose your control over your opponents, not to letting them slip - "Sticky hands" (Dan Chi Sao, Chan Chi Sao) and "Sticky Legs" (Ganghery).

"Do not fight with the strength, absorb it,
and it flows, use it" - Yip Man

In Wing Tsun you don't use your strength directly, - it transforms in your energy and inertia.
Relaxed body, calmness, and concentration on your actions and feelings, flexibility, including the flexibility of your mind, a quickness and a sense of humor – are the main sputniks of yours in Wing Tsun.
These facts prove that Wing Tsun is for one and all. Despite the legend that tells that Wing Tsun was created by a young woman, it is a martial art, demanding of your stamina and strength of mind.
Thus Wing Tsun doesn't exclude full physical pieces of training.
There are no exceptions, limitations or any other rules to anybody. During the training, each student manages to work with the whole group.

"Even the strongest tree is easier to be broken than
bamboo' shoots or willow's branches inclining in the wind
or under the snow." - Oriental Wisdom
